Muhammad Awaluddin is currently as Executive General Manager PT. TELEKOMUNIKASI Indonesia (TELKOM) Sumatra Region, since TELKOM is The biggest telecommunication provider in Indonesia. He received his first degree in Electrical Engineering at Sriwijaya University Palembang – Indonesia (1990) and his master’s degree at European University, Antwerpen – Belgium in International Management (1998). He has finished The Senior Executive Program (2006) with Sasin Business School – Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok and also joined The Advanced Leadership Program (2004) conducted by the Executive Center for Global Leadership (ECGL) – Indonesia in cooperation with Erasmus University, Netherlands. At the end of the year 2004, He has also finished The 20th Batch-Professional Director Program and admitted as a member of The Indonesian Institute for Corporate Directorship. He also got the opportunities to study Managing Partnership and Strategic Alliances at INSEAD Business School – Fontainebleau – France, August 2007. In March 2009, He was sent by TELKOM to follow The Advance Senior Executive Program (ASEP) at KELLOGG SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT - Northwestern University, Evanston - Chicago, USA.

He worked for PT. TELKOM since 1991. He has extensive managerial experience in service and marketing, operation, customer care, quality management, corporate governance and leadership area. Several seminar, benchmark, training and courses in above area have successfully been accomplished. Some of those spent at PTT Netherlands (1995), AT&T School of Business-USA (1996), Telecom Finland (1996),  AT&T Network Solution-USA (1998), Post Graduate Management Program at European University (1998), SAGEM France (2004), CommunicAsia Telecommunication Forum – Singapore (2000, 2002, 2005,2006), Broadband World Forum, Seoul – South Korea (2004), APEC CEO Forum, Busan Korea (2005), and  APEC CEO Forum, Vietnam (2006).

He speaks Bahasa Indonesia and English. In his free time he reads a lot of books, jogging, tennis and plays golf.
